Homemade Mini Mouse Birthday Cake
A friend's little girl was turning two and loves, Mickie and Mini. I really wanted to make a cake for her, so I visited this site for ideas for this Mini Mouse Birthday Cake.
First I designed the cake with paper to ensure I knew what pan sizes to use. Next the cake. A Vanilla Golden cake. The ears are slightly lower than the head. It is iced with a vanilla buttercream, then finished with a marshmallow fondant. Having the template helped a lot because I was able to use the shapes to cut the fondant.
The bow, was the trickiest as it is gum paste. The first one broke, but I believe this one made it to delivery.
