Homemade Minnie Mouse Birthday Cake

I used two 6 inch rounds for ears and one 10 inch round for face of this Minnie Mouse Birthday Cake. I also baked an additional 6 inch round to use for bow.

I used base of diluted chocolate icing for ears which I then coated with crushed Oreos. I also used crushed Oreos on upper face. The rest of cake was iced with buttercream frosting. I dyed all of the icing with tinting from cake decorating kit. I did use black licorice for eyelashes to add some dimension. Chocolate cake for ears and yellow cake for face.

All cakes were frozen when I began to decorate them. All face features were piped out first and then filled in with icing.
