This Minnie Mouse Birthday Cake is a cake I did for my daughter’s 2nd birthday, the idea came from a coloring page I found online. I purchased a flower cake pan from Walmart online for the base. I covered it in prepackage Wilton fondant, that I purchased at Walmart. I painted it with edible sparkle dust mixed with clear vanilla extract that I bought at Michaels.

I made the Minnie face using 2 6 inch round cake pans, I used one for the face, and cut 2 circles from the other cake for the ears. I baked sugar cookie dough and used that for the bow. I used a toothpick to “draw” Minnie’s face on the cake before I started to frost, then just filled in with the appropriate colors to create the finished product!

It was pretty fast, this was the first cake I had ever attempted and my daughter loved it! My family now asks me to do everyone’s cakes.
