A Minnie Mouse Cake!

A Minnie Mouse Cake!

Here is a Minnie Mouse cake that I made from the Wilton Mickey Face Pan. Converting Mickey to Minnie was a snap...just add pretty eye lashes, a little pink ribbon bow & pink tongue. I used the Wilton cake directions (colors, etc) for the face, using #3 & #16 tips when piping the outline & stars.

Then, for added texture & taste, I used crushed Oreo cookies (chocolate wafers only)over dark chocolate frosting for the ears. This was much nicer than having so much black food coloring...which is messy for your guests to enjoy. Tastier too! Her bow was made from pink & white polka dot ribbon, for a special detail. The ribbon makes a nice little keepsake from the day.

The cake gained rave reviews. Pretty good for my first try! Good luck & Enjoy!

Wow! That looks fab! I'm hoping my attempt at a Minnie Mouse cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday looks as good! The idea of crushed Oreos is inspired as they have to be my favourite cookie of all time! Thanks!

You did a wonderful job on your Minnie Mouse cake.
I like the Idea of using crushed Oreo cookies for the ears. And it covered up the black really well and gave it a different look. My daughter will be two in February and I was wanting to do a Minnie Mouse theme.
