Homemade Minnie Mouse Cake

I used your website to come up with ideas for our Minnie Mouse cake! I didn't have a Minnie pan, so I used a round cake pan with two smaller pans for the ears.

I couldn't find a bow I really liked so I made mine out of fondant. I bought white fondant and cut out the white polka dots. Then I colored the fondant to get the pink I wanted. I just guessed.

To decorate the cake I went to the Wilton website and got the directions for the Mickey Pan. I added the eye lashes and pink polka dot bow. This is the first cake along with her brother's Mickey Mouse on the same day that I have ever done!

It was fun and I got lots of great compliments at the birthday party!

The kids loved their cakes and they sure were yummy without paying the price of a professional!

Question on Minnie CAke
by: Ashley

I have someone wanting me to make a Minnie cake for a birthday party- and I absolutely love yours. IS the flesh and black a start tip? and what about the facial features- it looks like you used piping gel, but i am not sure. Do you have any advice? I have never made one like this before. thank you so much and you did an awesome job on this cake!!! amazing!

I am looking for someone to make a Mickey Mouse cake for my son's birthday the end of June. I am not good at decorating. I would like to get a hold of Diane from Atlanta to see if she would be willing to make one for me or does anyone know someone that can make mickey mouse cakes in Atlanta?
thanks
Jody
