Homemade Minnie Mouse Cake
This Minnie Mouse cake was made for a first birthday party for one of my sister's friends. I used the Wilton Mickey Mouse Pan and converted it to a girl with a few pink touches and eyelashes. The cake by far has been one of my favorites to make.
The cake itself was a marble cake and the cake frosting was done with buttercream icing using a star tip. The eyes were smoothed with cornstarch.
The only problem ended up being the black frosting that got everywhere! A suggestion for next time would be to coat the ears in either crushed chocolate cookies or even chocolate chips. That way people's mouths won't turn black.
The bow is just a standard premade bow that I bought at a craft store.
As always you want to let the cake cool completely after baking in order to avoid the inevitable melting of the frosting if you make it from scratch.
