Homemade Monkey Face Birthday Cake

My daughter's 2nd birthday was a monkey theme from Birthday Express. I took the plates and just made the cute Monkey Face Birthday Cake from that onto the cake. It's cute and simple.

Just Wilton decorator icing from the big container and food coloring. I didn't tort the cake or make two layers, since it was primarily for a 2-year-old. The cake itself is just an 8-inch round/2 in deep Wilton pan cake from a store-bought cake mix. It was all about the monkey, after all.
