Coolest Monster High Clawdeen Wolf Cake

My daughters love everything Monster High. My youngest had told me she wanted a Clawdeen Wolf cake. I started by buying a set that I new she had been wanting. It came with a bed. I bought a new outfit for the doll because she was in her pj’s. I wasn’t sure what I was going to make but I knew I would come up with something. I thought about the bed and how I could incorporate it into my cake. I came up with my design and started baking.

I used Duncan Hines cake mix for the cakes. I baked a 13×9 cake for the bottom and a 8in round for the top. I made my own marshmallow fondant and colored it purple. I found a recipe online and so far everyone prefers the marshmallow fondant better than regular fondant. For the Monster High skull I used my butter cream frosting. I printed off the skull design from my computer. I put wax paper over the top, traced the design in black and filled in the rest. I let this dry over night. I bought Wilton’s sugar sheet with the zebra design black and white.

Now it’s time to put it together. I frosted each cake with butter cream frosting then covered it in fondant. I placed the 8in cake on top of the 13×9. I then cut the sugar sheet in strips and placed it on the cake. I took a paint brush with watered down purple food coloring and painted the zebra stripes. I then piped around the strips with black frosting to give it a more finished look. I placed pieces of the bed on the cake. I then took the dry skull and placed that on the cake also. Last was the doll.

My daughter and everyone loved this Monster High Clawdeen Wolf Cake. I showed it to everyone. It was a big hit and took several hours to do. I hope you like it as much as we do.
