Homemade Monster Truck Rally Cake
My son wanted a Monster Truck Rally Cake for his 6th birthday. I simply made a 9x13 cake from a box mix and leveled the top off after it had cooled. I then smeared chocolate frosting on a little rougher than usual to make it to a little messy, smashed some of his beat up Hot Wheels with a hammer, glued them together on a piece of cardboard covered with aluminum foil, propped the 2 new Monster trucks up with toothpicks so it looked like they were in action and sprinkled the whole cake with crushed graham cracker crumbs to look like dirt.
I then printed out a template online of a racing flag, cut it down to fit the cake and finished of with green icing on the bottom. It was a hit and my son loved it!
