Coolest Moon Cake 3

Moon Baby Shower Cake
I made this moon cake for a baby shower. The cake was made from a box of cake mix (yellow cake) as were the cupcakes. I used a round pan for the cake and after I had cooled the cake, I cut out the hole with a much smaller round pan to give it the moon shape.
I then frosted it with butter cream. I dyed some white fondant for the moon, the baby, the blanket and the stars. The baby was made from large marshmallows (under the blanket) and pink fondant for the head and arms. I used some ice cream sprinkles for the eyes and nose and some butter cream frosting helped keep the blanket in place.
I used small cookie cutters for the stars and let them harden overnight. The clouds on the cake were piped through a ziploc bag.
Everyone love the cake especially the mom-to-be!
