Homemade Motocross Bike Birthday Cake

I was ask to make this Motocross Bike Birthday Cake by a friend. I have done some birthday cakes before but mostly from books. My friend's little boy has a KTM so she wanted it to match his bike. Couldn't find a cake tin, so this is what I came up with.

I printed a picture off the internet and blew it up. I always use Madeira cake as it easy to cut. I cut the wheels and the orange and black parts out of the picture, put them on the cake and cut round them, then sliced a thin layer off the top of the cake so these parts were raised and covered the cake in white fondant icing.

Then I just cut the rest of the picture out for each part. Cut them out of the coloured icing and stuck them in place and piped the finished touches!
