My Little Pony Cake
This My Little Pony cake is my daughter's 4th birthday cake. I asked her what kind of cake she wanted mommy to make for her birthday and to my surprise (I was expecting Mickey Mouse) she said 'my horsey cake'!
So I got online and did some research on cakes that's how I found this sight! I really didn't find what I had in mind although I found some great cakes. I bought her a My Little Pony coloring book and found the cutest picture of a pony shaking a present as if to try and tell what was inside which all kids do.
I baked a chocolate 1/2 sheet cake using an 11x15 pan. Once I allowed it to completely cool I frosted the cake with a white base. I let the frosting dry which makes it easier to draw on also if you make a mistake it is easier to pull up the frosting! While looking at the picture I hand drew it onto the cake. Then I literally colored in the picture!
I made the colors of frosting in several bowls while I let the base dry to use time wisely.
