Homemade Nemo Birthday Cake

I made this Nemo birthday cake for my son's 2nd birthday party. I used a football cake pan for the body. Then I made an 8 inch square cake and cut it diagonal (sculpted it a bit too) to form the tail. I used the rest of the 8 in. for the fins.

I dyed the orange frosting and used an orange M & M for his eye. I put aluminum foil on a piece of cardboard for the background and just placed the cake on top, assembled the cake pieces and frosted.

I dyed the leftover frosting blue and green for the writing, bubbles, and "seaweed". It turned out very nice and I got a lot of compliments on it. I really had a hard time cutting it up and serving it.
