Homemade Nemo Birthday Cake
My daughter wanted a Nemo Birthday Cake so I decided to get creative. I used a 13x9 cake pan and just looked for pictures on the internet of Nemo, but the best picture I found was on the movie itself. She really liked the cake.
I cut out the shape of a fish and used the extra cut away pieces to make the fins. Using the Wilton gel colorings and Wilton ready to use decorator frosting I decorated it. I used the medium star tip to decorate everything except the eye and the fins. I used smooth frosting for the eye and used the pipe tip to border each color and the fins.
I used the star tip for the fins but just pulled it straight across instead of starring it. The cake was a big hit. The tail fin was completely frosting. The tip fin was made of cake.
