Cool Homemade Ni Hao Kai Lan Cake

I made this Ni Hao Kai Lan cake for my daughter’s 7th birthday! She requested a Ni Hao Kai Lan cake, and this is what I came up with.

I printed an image from NickJr.com and just ran with it. The bottom tier was a chocolate cake with a vanilla cream filling. The top tier was a vanilla cake with a French lemon cream filling! The cake was covered in fondant, and I made all the decorations and characters from gum paste!
