Homemade Ninja Turtle Cake Design
A friend of mine and I actually made this Ninja Turtle Cake Design for my husband who was turning 30 and struggling with the thought. I wanted to take him back to his childhood and he LOVED ninja turtles so we went with that.
To get the face outline on the cake I just printed a photo off the internet and cut it out, placed it on the cake and traced a line with a knife. Same for the mask, eyes, and teeth. Its 2 9 inch round cakes with peanut butter M&M's in the middle with a homemade butter cream icing to keep the two cakes stuck together.
The buttercream icing is really yummy and was made with just butter, milk, powdered sugar and clear vanilla extract. We also bought food coloring for all the colors. we hand piped the entire face which with an outline was fairly simple. The background we decided to do a grey sewer man hole, took the cake to a whole other level.
This was only the 2nd cake we have ever attempted to make! I hope you all enjoy this cake!
