Homemade Ninja Turtles Michael Angelo Cake

I made this Ninja Turtles Michael Angelo Cake for my husband's birthday. I used a simple recipe I had for a yellow birthday cake and I baked it in a 9x13 cake pan. I drew the picture free hand on a piece of wax paper and used it to help me cut out the cake. The frosting was also another homemade recipe I happened to have and it was just a simple vanilla.

This cake was a lot easier to make than I thought it would be and it was worth it to not waste my money on a Ninja Turtle cake pan.
