Homemade Nitro Themed Birthday Cake
This Nitro Themed Birthday Cake was a birthday cake for a cheerleader at the organization I coach at. I used a pre-made black fondant on the bottom layer, and colored the blue for the stars on the top layer. The white is simple boxed fondant. The bottom has 2 layers of funfetti and the top is a single thick layer of funfetti.
I used buttercream frosting under the fondant. The bow (first time making a bow) is made from fondant & gumpaste. There are no dowels in this cake because it wasn’t that big and it held up great! I used some pearly dust to cover the stars, first tried to wet the stars because it said to do so, and it didn’t work in my favor so I just sprinkled the cake dry and it turned out great. This is my first cake from an order, other than that I just got interested and started creating.
