Homemade Number 1 Cake

Homemade Number 1 Cake

I bake a 14inch square cake and covered it in white homemade icing for this Number 1 Cake. I followed the recipe in the Wilton book. I drew circles in red, blue, orange, and green over the cake. I also wrote Happy Birthday on it.

I baked another cake using the #1 Wilton pan. I laid it on top of the square cake. I put the birthday boy's name down the center in red. I decorated the rest in a camo pattern using blue, green and orange.

The weight of the number one cake didn't sink the other cake? I'm going to make this for my kiddo on his first birthday and I've only ever made boxed cake before. Yikes! I'm even going to try a banana cake recipe!
