Homemade Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe Cake
My Cousin and I designed this homemade 'old woman who lived in a show' cake for my Mom.
We used three 6-inch round cakes for the leg of the boot. We used half of a 6-inch Wilton ball cake pan for the toe of the boot. The eyelets for the shoestrings were done by using a tip no. 199 dipped in brown icing color. The roof was cut from a circle cake board. The shingles were drawn with icing marker. The hole in the toe was a fondant tear so don't ever fear the flaws because they make great stories.....!
