Homemade Over The Hill Cake

This over the hill cake is a variation of a Wilton design. Instead of having the person climb out of a hole I decided to have her climb a hill.

The hill is made of 2 yellow cupcakes cut and stacked. I used spray color for the cake to save time. Then I used edible green glitter before I piped the grass and flowers. The cake is a 2 layer yellow cake with buttercream filling.

"Amy" is made of ready made and already colored fondant, except for her hair and belt which are buttercream. This is the first time that I used fondant and was surprised how easy it is to work with.

This cake was A HUGE hit. It was also pretty easy and a lot of fun to decorate!
