Homemade Penguin Cake

I did this penguin cake for my cousin. I was trying a new technique to make so I just gave it to her.

I just made a 3 tier chocolate cake, with chocolate buttercream. I just used a piece of fondant for the base of the penguin. I used wax paper and traced the penguin then I put the wax paper on the fondant and used a skewer to trace it from the wax to the fondant.

After that was done I used colored royal icing to outline the penguin. After the outline set up I thinned some royal icing and filled it in. It wasn't to bad for the first time using royal icing. I had fun with it, and my cousin enjoyed it.
