Coolest Pink Angel Diaper Cake

I made this Pink Angel Diaper Cake for my daughter-in-law’s baby shower. I wanted to make this cake special and unique. She wanted lavender colors for the decorations and I wanted pink to indicate it was a baby girl. After shopping around for the perfect decorations, I rolled up 84 diapers and secured with clear rubber bands. This was a tedious task.

The stand was a little hard to locate but when I finally found it the next steps was to make sure that I had a strong base and foundation. The stand was the foundation and I used baby bottles as the base to start the spiral of the cake. After making each tier, I secured the tier with a postage sized rubber band. I placed a lavender lei over the rubber band on the bottom tier. I placed a pink ribbon on the 2nd tier and I placed a pink lace on the top tier. I stuff the cake with trinkets.

I am so proud of my first diaper cake. The joy of doing this project was fantastic.
