Homemade Pink Castle Cake Design
I made this Pink Castle Cake Design for my oldest daughter's 4th birthday party. I love this website and took several notes after reviewing so many castle cakes on here! She wanted a pink castle inside and out so the cake and icing are both strawberry.
I took the easy way out by buying strawberry flavored (and pink) icing. I cut a large sheet cake in half to make the bottom layered portion, and then used two 6" rounds to make the top portion. It was very simple to make, and very impressive. I wish I would have thought to cut down the raised center of my sheet cake because when I put the four sugared sugar cone and cupcake towers, it was very obvious that my cake was not flat.
My daughter's face was priceless when she saw it and her party friends were equally happy. Such a fun cake to make!
