Pirate Ship Cake

I made this pirate ship cake for my son's 3rd birthday this summer. I made a 9x13 cake, a 8x8 cake and a small oval cake. I also used cereal straws and M&Ms for the cake decorations. The pirates and cannons I used came from my other sons Imaginex Pirate ship, which came in handy.

The sails I made with black construction paper that I wadded up into a ball and cut holes into. The skull and cross bones I printed up I cut out and glued onto one of the sails. I placed the cake on a silver platter and had the whole table decorated with a skull, a pirate chest and other fun piratey kind of stuff.
