My daughter loves play-doh, so I really wanted a play-doh theme for her birthday but couldn’t find any cakes to match that theme so I thought of this Homemade Play Doh Birthday Cake. I used 4 9inch round layers of vanilla cake and vanilla frosting tinted with Wilton lemon yellow icing color. I used the paper towel trick to smooth the icing. To make the Play-Doh logo I found Wilton sugar sheets, one red and one white, and cut out the logo and outlined it with black gel icing (you could probably use fondant, also I decided on this because it just seemed easier to me and I’m not to familiar with fondant.) I also used another red sugar sheet and the yellow icing with a star tip for the top so it would look like an open can of play-doh.
It was pretty easy and a big hit with my daughter and guests.
