Homemade Pregnant Belly Cake

I am new at making cakes. A friend of mine's daughter is having a baby. She asked me if I could make this pregnant belly cake. So I looked on the internet and studied other cakes. Most cakes are covered in fondant. I don't know much about fondant so I used butter cream and it turned out well.

I made a sheet cake and cutout shape. Then I uses half of the Wilton ball pan and I used the Wilton small doll pan. I made the daisies out of royal icing. This is all new to me but had fun doing it. To smooth the icing I let the icing crust and used a paper towel to smooth it out.
