Homemade Princess Birthday Cake
This Princess Birthday Cake is my version of a princess Tiana cake that I made for my daughter's 16th birthday. I used the Wilton wonder mold kit, with a regular butter cake mix that I let cool overnight. I also make my marshmallow fondant the night before and let it rest overnight.
I leveled the cake then I covered the cake with buttercreme frosting and let it chill in the fridge. I tinted my fondant and rolled out the white piece for the bottom skirt. Then I rolled and cut out the leaves for the top and bottom part of the dress. I used a dab of vanilla extract to adhere the fondant piece to each other.
It was fun and easy to do. The frog is also made out of green fondant.
