Homemade Princess Castle Birthday Cake
My niece loves everything Disney and wanted a Disney princess castle cake. I didn't know where to start so I searched online and found a kit to help make this cake, it's called the Deluxe Disney Princess cake. It includes the princesses, door, picture frame and some other decorations. The instructions aren't the greatest so you kind of have to know what you're doing.
I didn't make the cake the size noted in the instructions and I decorated it differently as well. I used my square pans for the different sized layers.
The door and the bridge were made with a basket weave tip, I made the roses using a rose tip, the grass and border were done with the rosette tips, and then most everything else was done with a small and medium round tips. The top of the castle wall was done with sugar cubes.
It took a long time to make but wasn't that difficult. My niece absolutely LOVED it!
