Coolest Princess Castle Birthday Cake

I had a lot of fun making this Princess Castle Birthday Cake for my daughters. I got the idea by looking at a lot of other pictures of castle cakes on this website.

I covered the cake in MMF, with a recipe I found on YouTube. The ground was rolled out green MM fondant, covered in green colored coconut. The roses and diamonds were made with the MMF. I frosted ice cream cones and rolled them in colored sugar.

The water is rolled out blue MM fondant, and then I had gummy fish and frogs added. I also found some candy rocks that I added to the water. The ledge on the first cake is made with tiny marshmallows and gummy candies. The drawbridge was made with graham crackers and the “ropes” were made by rolling white MM fondant around wooden skewers.

It was a lot of work, but so worth it to see the looks on my girls faces. I don’t know how I will top myself this year.
