Coolest Princess Castle Birthday Cake

I made this Princess Castle Birthday Cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday. She had a Disney Princess theme party. The cake was 3 layers on the bottom and 2 for the top. I rolled store bought ice cream cones in frosting and then rolled them in edible pink glitter sugar.

The door and windows are made out of wafer cookies with frosting for definition. I also bought colored marshmallows for the border. I bought sugar cubes to give it more of a castle effect. They added quite a bit of definition and made the cake look more squared off which was a good thing.

My husband made the flags out of pink craft paper and tooth picks. The cake was a strawberry with butter cream frosting. I baked the cakes ahead of time and froze them. This made icing them a bit easier. I bought the Disney Princess figurines at a party store.

The cake came together pretty well. My daughter loved it and most everyone though I bought it.
