For this Princess Castle Birthday Cake I used 3 boxes of cake mix (yellow, strawberry and funfetti). 1 – 13.9 for the bottom; 3 – 8×8 square for second tier; for third tier I cut a 8×8 square into 4 and used 3 squares. I used strawberry icing from the store.
The towers are sugar cones and cake cones. I cut off the end of the sugar cones so that I could fit the star wands in them. I coated the sugar cones with icing and rolled in colored sugar sprinkles. For the sides and top towers I cut the top of cake cones and put an upside down sugar cone on top. I piped white icing around the bottom of each.
The door and windows are strawberry wafer cookies. I cut one into for the windows and piped white icing around all of them. I used miniature marshmallows around the edge of top and sides. I used food coloring and dyed the white icing for the flowers. Two pink gumballs by the doors. Everyone loved this cake. It was made for my niece’s 6th birthday.
