Coolest Princess Castle Birthday Cake

For my 18th birthday I had a princess party. I’ve always had a themed birthday and this one was my last, hurrah, so I picked a theme that was childish because I was growing up. I really got into the theme by having everyone dressing in gowns and tiaras. I clearly needed a Homemade Princess Castle Birthday Cake to go with the theme. I decided to make my own cake because then I could control what went on the cake and I would be sure to like it.

I made 2 sheet cakes, one chocolate and one vanilla. The chocolate acted as the base which I covered with pink icing. Then I cut the vanilla sheet cake in half to act as the next layer. The other half was cut to fit as the third layer, and then the remainder was the top layer. I covered 4 cake cones with pink icing and turned them upside down on the four corners. Then I placed sugar cones covered in icing and sprinkles on top of them. My mom found cute sugar flowers, crowns, letters, and hearts to place on the cake. The moat is blue icing with goldfish in it. The drawbridge is an upside-down Hershey bar with blue wrapped Hershey kisses holding it up.

Around the cake I put marshmallow trees and princess figurines that I found at the dollar store. Then I added more Hershey kisses on it for the final touch.
