Coolest Princess Castle Cake

I used an idea previously posted on this site for a princess castle cake and altered it a little. I used a normal 9×13″ cake pan. I cut the four corners out, approximately 2.5 by 3 inches.

For my towers I used rice crispy treats made with the pink berry flavored marshmallows. I just stacked the treats and smooshed them together. The tops of the towers are frosted white then sprinkled with pink sugar.

The “cones” on top of the towers are rice crispy treats that I shaped by wading & rolling. I then stuck tooth picks in them, frosted & sugared them & stuck them on the other towers. The flags are just paper on a tooth pick.

I used a boxed spice cake and nearly two full cans of store bought cream cheese frosting. I colored it to match the cakes and napkins we used for the princess party. The crown was a last minute decoration, something to fill in the middle.
