Homemade Princess Castle Cake

Homemade Princess Castle Cake

I wanted to surprise my daughter for her 4th birthday! I made a Princess Castle Cake and she was speechless. I made 6 layers in total of cake and we only ate 2 layers. The bottom two layers are regular rectangular cakes and then 9" rounds for the middle layers and the 8" rounds for the top two layers. Lots of butter cream icing in between each layer. Then I covered it all with pink icing.

I used regular ice cream cones dipped in white chocolate. I put in the freezer for the chocolate to set up faster and well be careful on taking them out of the freezer, my first set fell on the floor and shattered. I used wafer cookies in between the water (which is just blue icing) and the grass (which is just green sparkles on some white icing.) Added a few little extras and there is my master piece!

Thank you everyone who made similar cakes all the ideas were great! I'm just glad I have a year to plan for the next cake which my family can't wait for.
