Homemade Princess Castle Cake
I was asked to do a princess castle cake for precious little girl turning 4 years old.
Inspiration for this cake came from other castle cakes I saw on this site as well off other sites on the internet. I love using Google image for my searches.
The frame and the princess characters came in a kit I bought online. The kit also came with plastic parts for the towers, but I liked the idea of using ice cream cones instead.
The cakes were covered and decorated with Wilton buttercream frosting. I used fondant to cover the ice cream cones. I also made royal icing flowers a couple days in advance, and when they dried I placed them all over the cake. Finally, I anchored the round cake to the square base cake with a wooden dowel.
I was told it was a big hit, which makes me happy!
