Coolest Princess Castle Cake

I made this Princess Castle Cake with 4 boxes of cake mix. The bottom part of the castle is 3 layers high and the top part is 2 layer. I used a homemade icing that I like to use which is 1 cup shortening, 1/2 cup butter, 2 tablespoon vanilla flavoring, 1/4 to 1/3 cups of milk and powder sugar.

I bought the kit which is the princess’s, the pink round parts of the castle, door, and picture frame. I decorated the board to look like a yard with a river/lake through it. I used a graham cracker for the bridge.

  3. Hi,

This cake is adorable! I’m just wondering how you went about getting the castle (frosting) to look like bricks? I am trying to gather ideas for my daughter’s 5th bday party coming up soon.

    Thanks!
