Homemade Princess Castle Cake
I really wanted to make my daughter a homemade princess castle cake for her 7th birthday. I saw lots of ideas on here and decided to have a go. I am sooooooo pleased with myself, it has turned out wonderfully! So thank you to everyone for all the ideas.
I don't really have any tips to add as I used lots of ideas from this site. I will just say that I used the ice cream cone turret idea - I had to transport the cake to the bowling alley for the party and I didn't want it to be too heavy! To place the turrets on top of the cake I used lolly sticks (unused lol).
Also, I went to my local cake supplies shop, they were so helpful as I did not know how much fondant icing I would need, kind of just said 'the cake will be about this big' and she took it from there.
So yay me! And thank you, this site is brilliant!
