Coolest Princess Castle Cake Design

As I wanted a rich chocolate cake and wanted the edges not to have a cut surface (brown crumbs) I purchased two square cake pans from a professional cooking supplies shop. They had such an array of sizes to chose from you could make it as large or small as needed.

If you were making a vanilla or using a brought sponge you would just cut and do a crumb coat to seal the crumbs in. I used a cream cheese icing so it wasn’t so sweet. (Most of my guests were adults).

The windows and door on this Princess Castle Cake Design were pink wafers and I piped on the white detail and let dry before putting on the cake. The wafer top came off the base from the moisture in the icing so be careful that the windows don’t fall off the cake. I split the wafer then stuck them on. I then piped a darker pink for contrast.

Mini marshmallows with silver cashews stuck on with icing to decorate the castle. Ice cream cones with coconut for snow and pink edible glitter. Musk sticks for the draw bridge with more mini mallows. Shredded coconut with green food colour for grass.

This is an easy cake to decorate and the impact was huge. Everyone loved it especially my princess.
