Homemade Princess Crown Cake

This Princess Crown Cake was the first cake I ever made, 2 years ago, and since then I have made many more!

I used one cake mix to bake 2 small round cakes, 1 pan slightly larger than the other. Then I stacked and iced them in pink buttercream icing. I tinted the icing to a darker pink and used a star tip to pipe around the middle and the bottom of the cake. Then I piped the white zig zag detail all the way around and added the silver dragees.

I got the crown from the Dollar Store and added smarties and silver dragees around it, using silver dragees for the number 5. The birthday girl loved it so much, she asked for the exact same thing the next year for her 6th birthday party!
