Coolest Princess Fairy Cake

This Princess Fairy Cake I found to be quite easy to make and sculpt and it’s only my second designed cake that I have ever done as I’m sick of paying companies big money to make my kids cakes.

I used two sized cakes to make. This one was a round cake tin which I used on the bottom and I used for the top a glass oven proof bowl and stuck the glass bowl cake on top of the other to get the height and froze it so it was easier to design. I cut off the bottom excess of the cake to make the skirt.

I used a chocoholic chocolate cake mix which also has raspberry jam for a different flavor, here is the recipe for that:

125g butter softened,3/4 caster sugar,2 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla essence,1/2 cup raspberry jam, 1 1/4 cups flour, 1tsp baking powder, 1/2 cup cocoa, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 cup warm milk, 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Cream butter and sugar, beat in eggs one at a time, beat in vanilla essence and jam, sift in flour, baking powder and cocoa. Dissolve soda in the milk, and mix altogether and then add chocolate chips and bake for 45 min at 180 deg.

For the icing I used butter cream icing which is 1/3 cups butter, 1/a tsp salt, 1 tsp vanilla essence, 3 1/2 cups icing sugar and 3 to 4 tablespoons milk and then add your colour. I used a cheap $2 doll from Bargain City and took off her legs. I made the fairy wings from paper and glitter pens and glued her wings to her back, and used the glitter pens in the dolls hair to match her wings.

I also used icing pens to put some of the design on her skirt with also the silver icing balls and did the writing with icing pens on the paper.

I had also brought some chocolate covered hearts and placed them on the bottom of her skirt, for the effect.

Good luck, if I can do it, anyone can. I got my ideas form this web site.
