Homemade Pug Cake

Homemade Pug Cake

I made this Pug cake for my sister's birthday. I used one yellow cake mix, 1 can of white frosting, 1 can of chocolate frosting, and black and red food coloring. The cake is just 2 round cakes stacked on top of each other with frosting in between.

I saved a scoop of white frosting and set it aside. I used the chocolate frosting to tint the rest of the white frosting to a very light tan color and used these two to frost the basic pug face and ears. The eyes, nose, and tongue were all done with the set aside white frosting and black and red food colorings. I tried to used my knife to create waves in the frosting to give the pug wrinkles. The cake was a hit!
