I made these cupcakes for my friend’s Pugs Birthday! I Got the idea from a book called “Hello Cupcake”. They have really cute ideas and lots of different dog breeds. The ingredients were simple and easy to find.
The ears are rolled out tootsie rolls, and the tongue is a pink Starburst candy rolled and shaped! The eyes are black m&ms and the nose is a chocolate covered blueberry. The black muzzle and mole are just made out of piped black icing. We made the teeth out of white icing as well!
After they were baked it took us about 2 hours or so to decorate them. Once you get all the tootsie rolls and Starbust rolled out it goes pretty fast. Our house was kind of warm that day we made them so we ended up sticking the tootsie roll ears in the freezer/fridge to harden them up before placing them on the cupcakes!
This homemade pug cupcake turned out really cute and I would definitely recommend making them for anyone who is a Pug Lover.
