Homemade Hand Crafted Race Horse Cake
This was a race horse cake made for a birthday party for a former horse racer. They had asked for a horse done in icing on the cake but I decided that I would try a 2D sculpture. I used a few images of horses on the internet and drew a sketch of the size and shape I wanted.
Then I sculpted the fondant over my sketch to keep things the right size. This was also my first attempt at making a fondant sculpture for a cake. I really enjoyed making it and coated it in sugar water to glaze. The hair is a tip 2 or 3 and piped along.
