Homemade Racecar Birthday Cake

I used (rented) the Wilton cruiser pan for this Racecar Birthday Cake. I used homemade fondant (found a recipe on the internet). I made a spoiler which I stuck in with toothpicks. After I covered the car with the blue fondant, I cut out the shapes I wanted for the windows, windshield, and headlights, and used those to cut the same shapes from the other coloured fondants to put back in.

I used regular icing to pipe in the lightning bolts and "4" after cutting those shapes out of the fondant as well. I baked a 9X13 cake for the base and piped the icing for the checkerboard. Used fondant stencils for the letters, Oreo cookies for the wheels.
