Homemade Racecar Cake
This racecar cake was for my son's birthday! He loves cars so I thought of a theme that would go with him. I used the half ball Wilton pan and carved out a car. This was my first time doing this as it came to me in my sleep!
Then I dirty iced and covered the cake in fondant. The red platform is pretty simple, just added grass to the bottom with the grass tip. I put the car on rectangle pieces of foam core glued together for height for the wheels.
The next morning, added racing stripes, the little Mohawk man (my son sports a mohawk), buttons, scarf and a smile. I wanted to add more cars going around the track but I ran out of time.
