My 4 year old son decided he must have a rocket birthday cake for his birthday party, after looking in vain for a shop one I turned to the net for inspiration. I picked ideas from here and there resulting in this rocket cake which my little boy absolutely loved.

Second time lucky as his dog ate the first cake I baked before I got a chance to decorate it

I need to pull something like this off this week for my son's 5th birthday. Any advice you can offer would be much appreciated. I love to bake but have never attempted anything that required decorating, so this is quite new for me. Thank you!
