Homemade Rocketship Birthday Cake
This Rocketship Birthday Cake was for a 3-year-old birthday party and he wanted a rocketship.
I used yellow cake and homemade buttercream frosting tinted red, white, and blue. I layered two 6" cakes, then 2 5" inch cakes and then two 4" inch cakes with dowels and cardboard between the different sizes. I used an upside down waffle cone for the peak, decorated with buttercream. The entire cake was done with a star tip and buttercream depending on color.
I melted white baking chips and tinted them red and blue for the "fins" and the blue stars. I used the silver balls for the "lights around the stripes and for the 3 on the top.
