Homemade Rolie Polie Olie Cake
This Rolie Polie Olie Cake was actually an easy cake to make. We used 2 round cake pans, 9inch for his head, and 8inch for the body. Then I made one extra cake to use for cut outs for the hands, feet and shoulders. The head's icing was smooth, and the yellow on his belly are smooth.
For the pants, we used orange icing and made stars. The eyes and nose, we used the largest circle tip, and then a smaller tip for eyebrows and mouth. For the red "ears", we used a large circular cut out and then cut it in half for each side of the head. Red icing stars on those. Then for the feet, again used the large circular cut out and just cut off the bottom for a flat edge. Brown stars on the feet and for the buttons on his pants.
Finally, the shoulders and hands were a slightly smaller cut out, and since that cake was very fluffy, I sliced the pieces in half to make small circles. Yellow stars on those. The legs, arms and antenna are black licorice.
All in all, it was a perfect cake for a perfect little Rolie Polie Olie fan!
