Roller Coaster Cake

My granddaughter, Kayla, loves the Double Loop at Geuaga Lake in Ohio and she was so surprised with this roller coaster cake.

All of the little people are our family members.

How did you make this?
by: Anonymous

Hi,
I wish you would have posted how you made your cake, including the tracks, what you used for the roller coaster cars, etc., then you wouldn't have everyone asking. :)
Anyway, how did you make the tracks? What are the cars made of?
Please tell me. I need to make a cake for next week! :)

Anyone figure out the tracks
by: Mommyralston

I'm guessing that no one figured out the tracks. Just thought I'd ask. Cute cake but I don't want to tackle it without knowing. I'm just a beginner so I need to make sure it's something I can handle.

track options
by: Anonymous

You can make some tracks from rice crispies but they'll be thicker. I used hot wheels loops, and wrapped them in ceran wrap and frosted them and put them in the fridge to set, they are obviously not edible but cool effect.

Tracks
by: Kristin

I made this cake in July and ended out cutting the tracks from Poster board and covering them with aluminum foil. It took a lot of time but worked great and looked spectacular!
